The town emblem was adopted in Feb 1967 but there is no flag law. The purple flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 東 To of gyokuTo. The circle symbolizes a wish for the town’s peace like a full moon and the town’s unlimited development like a rising sun.
