Lord of Matsumoto Domain in Shinano Province, he succeeded his father and elder brother who were killed in the Osaka Summer Battle in 1615, and became the governor of the domain with 80,000 goku. The war banner has black background with Ogasawara’s Kamon in white of three-story water chestnut. Another war banner was six black and white stripes each with white three-story water chestnut. The general’s standard has black background with white Kamon of three-story water chestnut in near square shape.
