Located in Nara City Nara Prefecture and established in 1949. The embroidered ceremonial flag has purplish blue background with a gold, silver and purplish blue emblem in the center and vertically written gold kanji university name in gold fringe.
The university emblem is based on a motif of a double-flowered cherry tree with a eight-pointed mirror inside and a dianthus in the center.
