Overall shape is as follows:
It has an oval and a figure that symbolizes mountains. They also symbolize Korean characters which are the first letters of two syllable word Uiseong in Korean.

Oval shape represents
It symbolizes wide area around which Nakdong river flows and generous and deep mind of the residents.

The projected part in the center represents
It symbolizes future oriented thinking that Uiseong will become the center of Gyeongbuk as the best town to live in. It symbolizes the gate of the new millenium that everything will go to Uiseong and at the same time the second syllable of Uiseong,

Blue color in the symbol represents symbolizes clean land of Uiseong and shows the strong will of Uiseong people realizing dream and hope

White color in the figure represents
It represents the spirit of the residents who respect loyalty and righteousness and succeed to the noble mindedness.
