Notre Dame University–Louaize (NDU), located in Zouk Mosbeh, was established by Decree No. 4,116 signed on 14 August 1987 by the President of the Republic, succeeding the Louaize College of Higher Education founded in 1978 by the Maronite Order of The Blessed Virgin Mary.
NDU is composed of seven Faculties.

The flag of the NDU is white with the university's logo.

The Notre Dame University flag appears at its site. Not clearly visible but seems to be blue with the logo in a white stripe or disc (?). Oddly, the colors and the typeface together combine to resemble Hebrew script.
