Population (1 Jan 2003): 23.739; area: 126,51 km². Settlements: Twello (seat), Appen, Bussloo, De Kar, De Vecht, De Wijk, Duistervoorde, Gietelo, Klarenbeek (ged), Klein-Amsterdam, Nijbroek, Posterenk, Spekhoek, Steenenkamer, Terwolde, Teuge, Voorst, Wilp, Wilp-Achterhoek.
Voorst is on the Veluwe, some 10 km northwest of Zutphen. The municipal seat is in Twello.
Flag: yellow with three vertical red chevrons. Adopted 1962 by municipal resolution.
The flag is derived from the municipal Coat of Arms, the Coat of Arms of the famous family van Voorst tot Voorst.
