The municipality of Peel and Maas existed since 1 January 2010 and is formed by eleven nuclei, namely Baarlo, Beringe, Egchel, Grashoek, Helden, Kessel, Kessel-Eik, Koningslust, Maasbree, Meijel, and Panningen. The municipality is formed by the former municipalities Helden, Kessel, Maasbree and Meijel.
