Best municipality

Number of inhabitants: 28.000; area: 34,23 km². Best (seat) is the only sizeable settelment. The municipality was separated in 1821 from Oirschot; Here many clogs were produced in the 19th century and it became industrialized in the first half of the 20th century by the foundation of a filial of the Bata shoe-factory.
