Leusden municipality

Number of inhabitants (1 Jan 2003): 29.041; area: 62,02 km². Settlements: Leusden (seat), Achterveld, Leusden-Zuid, Stoutenburg.
The present municipality was formed in 1969 by the merger of the former municipalities of Leusden and Stoutenburg.
The municipal flag shows the "L" of Leusden and the church (dating from 1300) of Oud-Leusden. The colors have been derived from the municipal arms.
