Loosdrecht former municipality

On 1 Jan 2002 the former municipalities of ’s-Graveland, Nederhorst den Berg and Loosdrecht merged to form the new municipality of Wijdemeren. Loosdrecht was formerly in Utrecht province. It is an important center of watersports, with its Loosdrechtse Plassen.
