Description of the flag

A white mogop (Anemone vernalis) on a green field. Not sure what the correct proportions are. The designer was Arvid Sveen. The colour green was chosen to symbolise forestry and agriculture.

In 2017 the government decided to abolish some counties and merge them with other counties to form larger ones, reducing the number of counties from 19 to 11, to be implemented from 2020.:"
