Description of the flag

Adopted on 12 December 1958.

Horizontal bands of red-yellow-red-yellow-red. This design was chosen to symbolize the importance of timber both for export to the European continent and for the shipbuilding industry in the county. Proportions 4:5.

Aust-Agder and Vest Agder became Agder.
