Bochnia city flag

Bochnia - urban commune, Bochnia County, Małopolskie Voivodship.
Bochnia is a town of 30,000 inhabitants on the river Raba in southern Poland, 35 km southeast of Kraków. It is most famous for its salt mine, the oldest still existing in Europe, built circa 1248.

The new Arms were adopted probably in 2004 or 2005 (unable to find the exact date).
The old Arms are still featured in the city's Law ("Statut") of 2003.

The new flag was adopted in February 2008 after complains that it didn't follow heraldic rules concerning the new Coat of Arms adopted previously.
"Arms: on the red shield three golden mining tools: hoe, hammer and pickaxe."
Flag: a rectangle of three equal horizontal bands: red-yellow-red."
