Drwinia - rural commune, Bochnia County, Małopolskie Voivodship - former
name: gmina Uście Solne (1934-47).
Gmina Drwinia is a rural gmina (commune) in Bochnia County, Lesser
Poland Voivodship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the village of Drwinia,
which lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of Bochnia and 37 km
(23 mi) east of the regional capital Kraków.
Area: 108.81 sq.km (42 sq.mi); Population: 6,311 (2006).

The commune is heavily forested and attracts tourism. It has the best
Um-Pa-pah band in the region and 7 sports clubs.
Arms and flag adopted on June 29, 2004 (resolution # XVII/91/04)
"Arms: on a green, late-gothic, Spanish-style shield, between a royal
crown and a wavy silver ribbon (symbolizing the river Drwinia) a rough
tree log and two oak leaves.
Flag: a rectangle in the ratio 5:8 divided vertically 1:1 into two fields.
The fly part is divided horizontally 2:1:2 into bands of white, green and
yellow. The part next to hoist is green and bears the Arms."
