Gorzów Śląski flag

Gorzów Śląski - urban-rural commune, Olesno County, Opolskie Voivodship - German name: Landsberg in Oberschlesien.
First mentioned in 1241. In the Upper Silesian Plebiscite of March 20, 1921, 90,5 % of the inhabitants voted to remain in the borders of the German State and 9,5 % voted for the inclusion into Poland.
Polish and Soviet troops took the town on January 20, 1945 and it was incorporated into Poland on the basis of the Potsdam Treaty thereafter.
The tallest specimen of bladdernut plant (Staphylea) in Poland, at 4 m, grows there.

Arms and flag adopted on June 13, 2008 (resolution # XVIII/146/2008).
"Arms: on a silver late-gothic shield there is a red deer in jump to the right on the green hill.
Flag: a piece of cloth 1 m wide and 1,6 m long divided into horizontal bands:
* upper - 1/4 of the width - yellow
* middle - 1/2 of the width - blue
* lower - 1/4 of the width - yellow
In the middle of the blue band the Arms are placed."
