The name Dwikozy is derived from the term: "dwie kozy" = "two goats".
Gmina Dwikozy is a rural gmina (commune) in Sandomierz County,
Świętokrzyskie Voivodship,
in south-central Poland. Its seat is the village of Dwikozy, which
lies approximately 7 kilometres
(4 mi) north-east of Sandomierz and 84 km (52 mi) east of the regional
capital Kielce.
First mentioned in 1167
From one of the villages of the commune - Garbów - hailed the famous
medieval knight - Zawisza Czarny
(Zawisza the Black) - hero of the Battle of Grunwald (Tannenberg) in 1410.

Flag: three equal horizontal bands: yellow-red-yellow and the long white
triangle at the hoist in white color corresponding to the color of the goats
in the Arms.

Dwikozy Coat of Arms
Arms: recall the historical tradition and the name of the commune.
The shield is divided into three parts in the shape of the letter "Y".
On the upper field, golden wedge, there is an image of the medieval knight
(Zawisza Czarny) in metallic, dark gray armor.
Two lower parts, both red, portray the two goats facing each other, in silver
(white) color.
