German name: Gohlen am Warthe.
Gmina Golina is an urban-rural gmina (commune) in Konin County, Greater
Poland Voivodship, in west-central Poland. Its seat is the town of Golina,
which lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) north-west of Konin and 83
km (52 mi) east of the regional capital Poznań.
Area: 99.05 sq.km (38.2 sq.mi); Population: 11,326 (2006).
Industries: shoe making, food processing and metallurgical. Soccer
club: LZS Polonia Golina.
Arms and flag adopted on October 29, 2003 (resolution # XI/63/2003).
"Arms: on the shield divided vertically into two halves, on the right
field is a silver-red chessboard and the left field a half-tower, white
with the black ornamentation.
Flag: a rectangle divided vertically into two equal fields: blue and
red. In the center of the flag the Arms are placed with the name of the
city "GOLINA" on top of it."
