The arms are Argent a fountain sable efervescent Argent between two trees leaved Vert, stalked and eradicated Sable and Fruited Or, in chief Gules an arm in plate armour and naked hand proper issuant holding a sword Argent with hilt Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "VILA DE SABROSA".

Presentation of Sabrosa

Sabrosa municipality had 6835 inhabitants in 2000, and it is divided in 12 communes, covering 156,9 km². It belongs to: Vila Real District, traditional province and 1999 ref. adm. region Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, and C.C.R./NUT2 Norte.
