About the flag

Yakutia in 1918.
Jaume Ollé, 11 April 2000

This is a false (non-existent) flag. The Council in 1918 likely flew the Siberian flag. The re-enactors of 1 July 1918 battle on 1 July 2018 flew Siberian flag (horizontal colors). Administration in 1922 before the arrival of Pepelyayev used a Russian tricolor, but under Pepelyayev Siberian colors were again used (Pepelyayev tried to hide his relations with Primorye).
Flag used: Nov/Dec 1917 - 1 Jul 1918, 21 Aug 1918 - 4 Nov 1918, and Sep 1922 - Jun 1923 - the Siberia diagonal white-green."
Janis Lasmanis, 20 January 2019

According to Trembicky in Flag Bulletin the flag of Yakutia was derived from the colors of the czarist coat of arms.
