Strážske lies in the northen part of Eastern Slovak Lowlands. First mentioned
in 1337 (Ewrmezew - Strazne pole). The village was founded
by royal guards at the beginning of the 12th century. In the 15th century,
it was in the possession of some yeomen. Old tradition of miller
trade and wine making existed here. Population: 6.000.
