The new logo was unveiled in January 2021 by the governor of the province.
The logo features letter "Z", for "Zonguldak", mirrored and surrounding the crescent and star in the upper part. The letter "Z" was interpreted in an elegant design highlighting the values of the town. The design was rotated at right angle and mirrored into two opposite directions, reflecting a workers' town.
The crescent and the moon were placed in the central upper part, emphasizing that Zonguldak works to the service of the country.
