From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"Azure; monogramme from the or letters "T" and "Ш" ("Sh"). The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by or village crown. The author is E.Chernets'kyi.
Village was named in honour of Taras Shavchenko. Monogramme made from two letters and mean his name and surname. It was used font of Hryhoriy Narbut from the poster "Literary-art exhibition of Shevchenko memory" (1920).
