From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"Gules; or overturned saber in pale, on the handle sits argent thrush. The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by or village crown. The author is I.Novikov.
The sabre both gules colour of the board and the panels symbolize the village past, cossack victory. Argent thrush ("drozd") is the emblem of Drozd family, founders of village.

The Village

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"The first data about it is in the earliest known list of cossack and petty-bourgeois farms of Bila Tserkva land, which was made in 1622. The first name is Drozdove. In the register of Bila Tserkva regiment in 1649 and jury list in 1654 were mentioned at least eleven Drozd family representatives. The village belonged to St.Nicolas Mazepyntsi church."
