From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"It was confirmed in January, 22d, 2002 by the decision of XXXI city council session of XXIII convocation. Blue square panel, in the center of it is white city wall with tower against a background of red sun with yellow beams, from top and bottom edges goes border from white and yellow triangles (its width is equal to 1/10 of gonfalon)."

"It was confirmed in January, 22d, 2002 by the decision of XXXI city council session of XXIII convocation. Paly of three azure, gules and azure, in the center is argent city wall with a tower, before which is or sixteen-beam sun with the human face, under it is three argnet half moons (waves). The shield enframed by or cartouche and crowned by argent urban crown with three prongs. The author is R.Brygar.
The city wall with a tower symbolize historical development of city. The sun is mascot, an personification of heat and light, the territorial sign on Podillya. Three weaves mean rivers Pivdennyi Bug, Sil'nytsia and Sob.

"The first data about it refers to 1362 when the settlement has already been surrounded by ditches and walls. The name occurs by goddess Lada."
