Description of the flag

Located in north-central Illinois, Putnam County is the smallest county in land area within the state. Special thanks to Dan Kuhn, Putnam County Clerk, for mailing me an actual flag that's recently flown at the courthouse. One nugget of info; Putnam's courthouse is also the oldest continuing courthouse in Illinois.

The flag is white, bearing the name in blue across the top, and a map of the two parts of the county (separated by Senachwine Lake), an Indian with headdress in the western part, a covered wagon, a mine adit, and a paddle steamer in the eastern part.
