Description of the flag

The flag is a tan field with variety of symbols relating to the township's identity. In the center is a steamboat which represents the Mississippi River. Above the boat is the township's name and establishment year. beneath the boat is the motto "Where the roads meets the river." On the lower hoist is a dump truck, and a grader on the lower fly, which are machinery commonly used in road maintenance.
