Description of the flag

A white flag, with the town seal at the center. The seal is in deep red and yellow and consists of a selection of agricultural devices (sheaves, scythe, pile of hay, cattle, plow, harrows) and in the distance a village. Above is a ribbon with the word BROOKLINE, and below the date of incorporation. A garland of flowers surrounds the seal, and on the perimeter the motto MUDDY RIVER A PART OF BOSTON FOUNDED 1630. Brookline is in Norfolk County.
