Description of the flag

A white flag with the town seal at the center.  The seal comprises a shield on a blue background with a chevron division in three parts - above yellow, and two black shoes; in middle three devices, possibly a last and two tools, and below crossed shovels on green. Above the shield is a yellow sunrise, and below it is a red ribbon with QUANNAPOWITT written on it. In a ring around the seal are the town and state names and dates, encircled by a golden rope. Wakefield is in Middlesex County.

From the homepage www.wakefield.ma.us/:

"Our Town has 25,000 people, located ten miles northeast of Boston. Our location at the intersection of routes 93 and 128 (I-95) places us in the perfect location for commuters. For those wishing to take public transportation, there is a commuter rail (operated by the MBTA) with very regular service to Boston. The town has two railway stations."
