Description of the flag

The flag of Town of Monticello, Mississippi, is blue with four white 5-pointed stars - one in each corner, and town seal on it. It can be seen (small image) on town's website: www.monticello.ms.gov/Monticello-city-officials.html.

About the town:
"The Pearl River flows through the Town of Monticello and Lawrence County, giving a sense of peace to the entire area. The river is a rich resource that aided in the settlement of our town. The spirit of southern hospitality lives here. Charm, kindness, and pride in a strong heritage is evident in our people.

Monticello's population is 1,726 and is the county seat of Lawrence County. The town has 754 housing units; land area of 3.25 sq. miles; a water area of 0.09 sq. miles; and a population density of 530.36 people per sq. mile for Census 2000."
