Brandon Daubenspeck designed the flag while in the fifth grade at age ten in 2003. The day he designed it he only had five minutes before we had to leave for school to complete his assignment, which was to design a flag for the county. Due to lack of time, he made it very simple. The simplicity of the design is probably why it was chosen out of more than 300 entries.
