Flag

The flag is a white field with an orange border, in the center is an emblem. The emblem is and orange border with the city and state names in black. In the center of the emblem is an old version of the historic Sistersville city hall, which formally had a roof untill it was removed. An old oil well is also present, this represents the first oil well operated in the great Sistersville oil field. In between the oil well and the city hall is the establishment date. At the bottom of the seal is the Sistersville Ferry, which is the oldest operating , which is West Virginia's oldest ferry which opened in 1817, and is one of five still operating on the Ohio River.
