Karen Davidson and Sally Rains are co-winners of the Jackson Hole Flag Contest sponsored by the Wyoming Travel Information Center. The idea for the flag was Karen's and Sally did the work. The prize for the winning design is 25$.
Eight judges from the 8 communities in Teton County and representing 8 interests associated with Jackson Hole selected this flag design as first place. Second and third place went to John Breternitz and Berta Clissold.
The new flag will have figures of medium blue on a white center with red trim and medium blue border.
Anyone who would like to help make a 3 by 5 feet prototype of the flag should contact Mary Inman. Also, if any club would like to take orders and have quantities of the flags manufactured for fund-raising, can get catalogues and information from Mary Inman.

The United States and Wyoming state flags outside the Information Center has been joined by a third flag-one for Jackson Hole.
Designed by Karen Davidson and Sally Rains and sewn by Cile Lamb, the flag was officially raised last Friday afternoon. Ralph McMullen, director of the Chamber of Commerce, presided over the ceremonies, and later led a tour of the Information Center.
Although the winning design, for which they received $50, in a contest held to years ago. Mrs. Davidson, and Mrs. Rains did not see the fruit of their labor until last week. One losing design in the Jackson Hole flag contest, incidentally, showed an outstretched hand excepting a $20 bill. The accompanying motto read "In Greed We Trust." The judges apparently preferred the more conventional design featuring the mountains, a skier, a cowboy, an elk and a fisherman.
