"This is an exciting time for the University of Providence," UP President Tony Aretz said. "We're here today to celebrate the visual part of this journey in revealing the new logo and brand for the University of Providence going forward."
University of Providence, formerly known as the University of Great falls, changed its logos and colors on July 13, 2017. University staff worked Thursday evening to replace the signs and advertisements around town to reflect the university's new logo and colors. Aretz said, barring any complications, the school's new website will be live by Friday morning.
"On behalf of myself and my city commissioners, I want to thank you for creating a new sense of excitement and potential for the university and, in turn, the city of Great Falls," Mayor Bob Kelly said. "When Dr. Aretz first arrived on campus a while back, we knew he was going to be a force."
Since Aretz took office on July 1, 2016, he has rapidly initiated changes to the 85-year-old university in hopes of reinventing the school as a pillar of the community.
UP has partnered with Providence St. Joseph Health to help build the university's School of Health Professions. Additonally, UP will expand on Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree programs and a new master's degree program in Infection Prevention and Epidemiology.
