Bayshore Yacht Club

The Bayshore Yacht Club has the Yacht Basin in Holland, Michigan, as its station, and has Lake Macatawa as its home waters.

According to the club's history page (
The club was started in 1955 as the Bay Haven Yacht Club, the yacht club of the Bay Haven Marina in Holland Michigan. When the marina got renamed to Bayshore Marina, the club decided in 1991 to follow suit and became the Bayshore Yacht Club. Since, the marina has been renamed to become the Yacht Basin.

The burgee was designed by the founding fathers of the club (no exact date or year is given), as a depiction of the North sky after sunset: Dark blue with the North Star and below it in seven smaller stars the Great Bear, all stars white and five-pointed. (The depiction may not be entirely accurate, as I don't know the orientation of each star, which might be significant.)

The club's flag officers, being the Commodore, "Vice Commodore", Rear Commodore, Secretary, Treasurer, and Past Commodore, all have the common officers flags, in the case of the secretary this is the crossed quills design.
