Description of the flag

The flag of the City of Rancho Santa Margarita is white with city seal on it. It can be seen at www.cityofrsm.org/civica/news/displayarchive.asp?Type=1&targetID=1, under the title "Care Package Supply Drive to Support Marines".

About the City:
"Rancho Santa Margarita was planned to be an "Urban Village," offering the best of two worlds: all of the elements and advantages of a small city plus the quality of life of a small village. In 1996 the Celebrating the Vision Committee developed Rancho Santa Margarita's Vision Statement: "A Small City with the Soul of a Small Village." The City of Rancho Santa Margarita is located along the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains. The City incorporated on January 1, 2000, and became the 33rd city in the County of Orange. The City has a population of 49,249." www.cityofrsm.org/rsm_website/history.asp.

Some information about the seal shown on the flag can be found at Wikipedia: "The city seal has the brands of Rancho Mission Viejo and Rancho Santa Margarita y Las Flores on the border, with artwork containing Santiago Peak in the background. The tower in the foreground symbolizes the Rancho Santa Margarita Lake Tower."
