National flag

After the surrender of Italy to the Allies in 1943, a National Albanian Committee was formed in Italy (8 September 1943), which called for German help. The Germans recognized the National Committee on 26 September 1943 and their troops occupied the country.
On 20 October 1943, the monarchical Constitution of 1 October 1928 was re-established by the National Assembly. All the flags of 1939 where readopted, and the state flag with the crown of Savoy and the Lieutenant's flag were abolished. Karl Fachinger has personally seen the state and national flags in a 1:2 proportion and with an identical double-headed eagle, shifted towards the hoist.
