Kahl Coat of Arms

Shield parted by a bend sinister wavy Argent, above Azure a hare passant Argent, beneath Gules a lower demi-wheel Argent.
Meaning:
The bend wavy is representing the Main River. The demi-wheel is a differentiation of the arms of the Archbishopric of Mainz, to which Kahl historically belonged. The hare is referring to a nickname of the inhabitants, which had been called "sandhares" due to the sandy soil. The tinctures red and white are those of the archbishopric, blue and white are those of Bayern.
