Shield Azure, two croziers Or in saltire, the upper quarter charged with a grain sheaf, the lower quarter with an anchor, the others with a cross patty, all charges Or.
Meaning:
The two croziers are taken from the Werden Abbey, to whom the village of Lengerich belonged from 1269-1802. The two crosses are symbolising the two parishes in Bawinkel and Lengerich. The sheaf is symbolising the rural character of the municipality. The anchor and colours are taken from the arms of the former Lingen County, to which the area belonged until 1975.
The arms were approved on 14 July 1978.

Wettrup Coat of Arms

Shield divided by a pall reversed Or, above right Azure a bunch of three grain ears Or, above left Azure a monument Or, beneath Or fimbriated Azure an eradicated oak Azure.
Meaning:
The grain is symbolising the rural character. The monument ist he 3-Rulers-Stone, a boundary stone on the borders of the Bishopric of Münster, the Bishopric of Osnabrück and the Principality of Orange(-Nassau). The prince had been sovereign of the Lower County and Upper County of Lingen. On the stone is carved the year "1652". The oak tree is the Pius-Oak, planted in 1876 on occasion of the 30-years anniversary of the papacy of Pius IX. The oak has a circumference of stem of 3.40 meters and a diameter of tree top of about 20 meters.
