Donzdorf Coat of Arms

Shield Gules three 5-point stars Or ordered 2:1, chief Or charged with a lion passant Gules.
Meaning:
The arms are based on a seal from the local administrator (Amtsvogt) Dangelmaier from 1773. Donzdorf had been a condomion of the Counts of Rechberg and the Counts of Helfenstein until 1602. Afterwards the Counts of Rechberg gained the complete control since 1797 and they made Donzdorf their capital. The lion and the colours are taken from the arms of the Counts of Rechberg. The origin of the stars is not known.

The banner was approved on 18 February 1959 by Minister of Interior of Baden-Württemberg, published in GABl 127/1959. The coat of arms was adopted in 1932 by the local council.
