Shield Azure, an orb Gules fixed Or and topped by a cross bottony Or.
Meaning:
The orb first appeared as symbol for the town on boundary stones dating from 1725. Since 1809 the symbol is used as village arms. The orb probably was chosen as a symbol for the fact that the village was for many centuries a free imperial village. The well-known spa gained city rights in 1947.
