The ratio is 3:5. It is a yellow over blue horizontal bicolour. The coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.

Description of coat of arms:
In a blue field is a silver (= white) boat over silver (= white) waves. The boat is topped by crossed golden (=yellow) shelves ending in horseheads.
Meaning:
According to source the shelves are symbolizing the Lower Saxonian farmhouses in the village, the boat is symbolizing the location on the shores of the Baltic Sea. It is also a symbol of the von Both kin, former local rulers.
