The blue shield has a silver (= white) base separated by a wavy line. The base is superimposed by five green leaves of linden tree ordered 3:2. In the blue field is a golden (= yellow) prancing horse. On the sinister chief point is a silver (= white) blossom having six petals and seeded by another 16 petals.
The wavy base is symbolizing the location on the shores of the Baltic Sea. The leaves are symbolizing a local alleyway of linden trees. The horse is symbolizing horse breeding and -riding. Finally the blossom is the image of an endemic species found on the territory of the municipality.
