Emskirchen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Sable on base Vert a Romanic church Argent with roofs Gules issuant from dexter, at sinister Argent a hound's head quartered of Argent and Sable tongued Gules.
Meaning:
The arms are based on seals. They are known since the early 17th century and by pictures from 1767. The hound was the crest of the Burgraves of Nürnberg, margraves since 1317. The church is a canting element.
