Burgberg Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules a castle Argent with open gate and couped per pale, at sinister Argent a triplemount Vert charged with hammer and mallet Argent in saltire.
The tinctures red and white are those of the Bishopric of Augsburg, local ruler until 1803. The triplemount is also representing Grünten, a local mountain. Hammer and mallet are alluding to the local ore mining from the 17th until the 19th century.
