Lengenwang Coat of Arms

The seal displays the arms and has a circumscription as follows: "BAYERN*" (above) "GEMEINDE LENGENWANG*" (beneath) and the arms in its centre.
Shield Gules a pale Or, over all an axe Argent and a pen Argent in saltire, base Or charges with three hurts ordered 2:1.
Meaning:
The three hurts, blazoned as blue balls, are taken from the arms of the Lords of Freyberg-Eisenberg. Red and silver are the tinctures of the Bishopric of Augsburg. The pale is taken from the arms of the Margraves of Burgau. All had been former rulers in Lengenwang. The axe is an attribute of St. Wolfgang of Regensburg, the local patron saint. The pen is representing Federspielmoos, an unique nature-sanctuary.
