Coat of Arms

Shield parted 7-times per bend wavy of Azure and Argent; over all an embattled tower, parted per bend sinister of Or and Gules, charged with a facetted 6-point star in counterchanged colours, in chief an impending coronet Or gemmed Vert.
Meaning:
The tower is representing Herzberg Castle. The star is alluding to an alliance of knights, called "Sterner" (= star-men), who had an important base in Herzberg Castle. The colours red and yellow are those of the Barons of Dörnberg, owners of the castle since 1477. The coronet is not mentioned within source, not even in the blazon.
