Established: 29 April 1854
Specials: for males only (information in 2006)

The current flag was introduced, when the club merged in 1908 with RC Hansa - not to be confused with RG Hansa - which had seceded from the club in 1901 and was reunified in 1908. The initials were replaced by a Hanseatic Cross, here a red cross patty, representing the RC Hansa.

Flag (1883 - 1908)

[RC Favorite-Hammonia 1883-1908 (RC, Germany)] image by Klaus-Michael Schneider, 16 June 2014

Description of flag:
After the merger of Favorite-Cäcilie with Hammonia the red colour of Hammonia became predominant. The white flag was divided by a red, centred cross, which was superimposed by a red shield with golden bordure, bearing two oars crossed per saltire and superimposed by the Hamburg castle. In the the four quarters were red dotted initials "R." (upper hoist), "C." (upper fly), "F." (lower hoist) and "H." (lower fly).

RC La Favorite Flag (1854 - 1883)

[(RC La Favorite (1854 - 1883), (RC, Germany)] image by Klaus-Michael Schneider, 16 June 2014

Description of flag:
The flag was a light blue over white over light blue horizontal triband with silver fringes on three edges. In the white stripe was a silver inscription "La Favorite". As far as I know this flag was kept, after the club had merged with R.C. Cäcilie in 1875, forming the R.C. La Favorite-Cäcilie.

Hammonia 1887 Flag

[Hammonia 1887 (RC, Germany)] image by Klaus-Michael Schneider, 3 Mar 2014

Description of flag:
It is a white flag with a dark red bordure. Wizhin the white field is a black, serifed inscription "Club"(1st line) "Hammonia"(2nd line, bigger) "von 1887."(3rd line, the number is bigger).
Hammonia is one of the predecessors of Favorite Hammonia and was established before 1887, because it merged with "Favorite" already in 1883. So the date on flag remains a mystery.
