Hamburg Light Vessel Flags (reported 1855)

Light vessel flags were to be hoisted only by day as a distinguishing mark of each of the three light vessels on the Elbe River. On the stern of each light vessel should have been the flag of state ships.

Hamburg Number Flag

It was a white flag carrying a black number to be hoisted on the prow of merchant vessels, which changed every year and due to the annual Hamburg ships' list, in which all vessels were registered.
