Linnhoff Schiffahrt is a holding. Towage services, pilot taxi, research helicopter service and maritime equipment are branches of business.
It is a green flag with a white diamond in ist centre touching the top and bottom edge. In the diamond are dark blue bold capitals "LS", both connected at their bottom line. The seat of the company is Buxtehude near Hamburg.

Unterweser Reederei GmbH, AG - I saw a photo of the German ship Weser.
Painted on the board was a [divided saltirewise] blue-red flag with white letters URAG. Source: German magazine Guten Tag, 1989.

This must be a West German ship. Interesting to see a West German company using 'typical' East German colors.

Unterweser Reederei GmbH. The company not only predates the GDR, thus having more "right" to the colours, but it has also outlasted it as it still exists though going by the image on the
company site the blue and red colour shades are different. It originated in 1890 as Schleppschiffahrts-Gesellschaft Unterweser, changing to
Unterweser Reederei A.G. in 1923 and to Unterweser-Reederei GmbH in 1963. The original flag was the same format but with the white letters "SGUW" in place of the current "URAG".

Schleppschiffahrts-Gesellschaft Unterweser, located in Bremen and Bremerhaven.
The flag is divided by saltire into dark blue(B+)(top and bottom) and red(hoist and fly). In the quarters are white serifed capitals:"S"(top), "G"(hoist), "U"(fly) and "W"(bottom).

"Lütgens & Reimers, Hamburg tugboat company (Hapag-Lloyd ownership -1994)" as presented by
Josef Nüsse.

Lütgens und Reimers GmbH & Co. KG is a 100% daughter of Unterweser Reederei (see above). I spotted this tableflag on 2 April 2007 in Neumühlen tugboat base/Hamburg. The "&" is white. The ships of the company, I could see, were using the flag with a black "&".

If I have understood right, the company runs a kind of water taxi service for pilots, carrying them to their pilot stations Timmendorf/Poel, Rostock-Warnemünde, Barhöft, Freest and to the customers/ships as well. (Lotsenversetzdienst). The company is located in Rostock-Warnemünde.
The company was part of VEB Bagger, -Bugsier- und Bergungsreederei Rostock until 1990. Afterwords the pilots were integrated into the (West-)German system and an own organization (KdöR) was established by the northern branch of the waterways and shipping authority in Kiel. The taxi service was excluded and remained as a special branch within Bagger, -Bugsier- und Bergungsreederei Gmbh (successor of VEB).
Since 1 January 1995 the service was overtaken by Linnhoff Schiffahrt.
The flag is vertically divided into white and red, the colours of pilots. In the upper hoist corner is a blue over yellow over red horizontal tricolour, the regional flag of Mecklenburg. In the upper fly corner is a blue over white horizontal bicolour, the regional flag of Hither Pomerania). In the centre at the bottom edge are black capitals L" (in white field) and "B" (in red field).

The flag of the research shipping division is divided by a white, s-shaped, sinister-bendy line into red (hoist) and blue (fly). In the upper hoist quarter is a white initial "R", in the lower fly an "F", both in italics.
