The flag of INAGUJA can be seen in photographs online, never flying, but always held. The flag features the organization's logo on a white field, with the acronym "INAGUJA" in black capital letters beneath. The logo itself is a rounded rectangle, blue toward the hoist and red toward the fly. The blue half is divided by white spaces into women's silhouettes, while a white sewing machine appears on the red half, the two together demonstrating the organization's mission of training women in the garment industry. The Industria Nacional de la Aguja (INAGUJA, National Garment Industry) is an institution under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, placed there in October 2013 by Decree No. 308-13. The agency trains women from the poverty-stricken parts of the country in the methods of clothing and craft-making in order to turn them into productive parts of the national economy. INAGUJA was originally created in August 1958 by Decree No. 1090-1004 under President Trujillo for the purpose of making ties to be exported to the United States. The last shipment of goods to the US from this enterprise was in 1995, and the organization was in poor shape. With government assistance from PROINDUSTRIA and INFOTEP, INAGUJA was reinvigorated, being placed under the MIC in 2013 as a full government agency. Randy Young, 6 September 2015
